Synopsis:

Does being nobody’s fool mean that you’re nobody’s love?

Colleen O’Rourke is in love with love… just not when it comes to herself. Most nights, she can be found behind the bar at the Manningsport, New York, tavern she owns with her twin brother, doling out romantic advice to the lovelorn, mixing martinis and staying more or less happily single. See, ten years ago, Lucas Campbell, her first love, broke her heart… an experience Colleen doesn’t want to have again, thanks. Since then, she’s been happy with a fling here and there, some elite-level flirting and playing matchmaker to her friends.

But a family emergency has brought Lucas back to town, handsome as ever and still the only man who’s ever been able to crack her defenses. Seems like maybe they’ve got some unfinished business waiting for them—but to find out, Colleen has to let her guard down, or risk losing a second chance with the only man she’s ever loved.

Review:

I just really enjoyed this book. I sat down and became engrossed in this very lovely contemporary romance between two interesting characters that takes place in small town that I have come to love. As much as I enjoyed it, this book wasn’t even my favorite one in the series (so far)!

Several children in town are named after Colleen. Because without her matchmaking their parents, these children wouldn’t be here. Yet Colleen doesn’t even have a love life of her own due to her heart being broken by her first true love. Now he is back in town and Colleen’s doesn’t want to relive her feelings for him.

Waiting on You is the third book in the Blue Heron series. It can be read as a standalone but as always I recommend that you read these books in order to get the most enjoyment out of this wonderful series. The next book is called In Your Dreams and is due to be published September 2014. I cannot wait to get my hands on it!

(This book was received as an ARC from the author/publisher in exchanged for an honest review.)
