A WOMAN OUT FOR BLOOD
Nicole Martin was only eight years old when the vampire slaves rose up in rebellion and killed her family. Now she devotes her life to finding a vaccine against vampirism, hoping to wipe out her memories—along with every bloodsucker on the planet. But there’s one thing she cannot destroy: her searing, undeniable attraction for the one man she should hate and fear the most . . .
A VAMPIRE OUT FOR REVENGE
A member of the renegade vampire MoonBound Clan, Riker is haunted by demons of his own. When he recognizes Nicole and remembers how her family enslaved his loved ones, his heart burns for vengeance. But when he kidnaps Nicole and holds her in a secret lair, his mortal enemy becomes his soul obsession, his greatest temptation, and, perhaps, his only salvation—a hot-blooded lover who could heal him with her touch . . . or bury him forever.
This is the first installment in a sexy new paranormal romance series by Larissa Ione, author of the bestselling Demonica series!
I will admit when I started reading Bound by Night I wasn’t in the mood for a Vampire Romance. How happy am I that this was the kind of book that eased me back in and left me want more!
In Bound by Night we have a new world where vampires are slaves to humans. Of course the humans are not very nice to their slaves. Nicole Martin’s nanny is one of many vampire slaves her family owns. One day there is a vampire uprising where not only is her nanny is killed but Nicole is bitten and her life is forever changed…
Now Nicole is an adult and she has come home to take over her family business. Her illegitimate ½ brother has been running the company since she became of age and has politely stepped down in order to help her. When Nicole is kidnapped by vampires from the Moonbound Clan she fears for her life and hopes her brother saves her before she becomes the clan’s next meal…
I did find the book a little slow to get into but by the end of the second chapter I was hooked. Not bad at all for a first book in a new series! The plot has a nice pace about it but the romance between Nicole and Riker didn’t do it for me at first. I am looking forward to Chained by Night which is scheduled to come out next year.
(This book was received as an ARC from the author/publisher in exchanged for an honest review.)
