Waiting on Wednesday: Carolina Home (Dare Island #1) by Virginia Kantra

(“Waiting On” Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we’re eagerly anticipating.)

Here is what I am waiting for this week:

Carolina Home (Dare Island, #1)

Carolina Home (Dare Island #1) by Virginia Kantra

Release date: July 3rd 2012

Home to the Fletcher family for generations, Dare Island is a fishing village rocked by changing times—its traditions slipping away like the sands of the North Carolina coast. Single dad and fishing boat captain Matt Fletcher deferred his own dreams to support his innkeeper parents and build a future for his sixteen-year-old son. Matt has learned to weather life’s storms by steering a steady emotional course…and keeping a commitment-free approach to love.

Newcomer Allison Carter came to Dare Island to escape the emotional demands of her wealthy family. The young teacher aims to build a life here, to make a lasting place for herself. She doesn’t want to be another in the long line of Women Who Once Dated Matt Fletcher. It’s both tempting and dangerous to believe she can be something more.

Then Matt’s brother Luke makes a sudden return home, with a child of his own—and a request that will change all their lives. With a child’s welfare at stake, Matt must turn to Allison to teach him to let go of the past, open his eyes…and follow his heart.

So not only am I a fan of these kinds of stories I am also a fan of Virginia Kantra. Her Children of the Sea series is one of my favorite Paranormal Romance series.

If you would like to read a sample of Carolina Home HERE is the first chapter.

So what are you waiting for this week? Leave me a link so I can check it out!

I’ll admit, I’m not usually a fan of this type of story, but you’ve got me intrigued. And even if I don’t read this one, I’ll probably be adding that paranormal series you mentioned. 😛

Thanks for stopping by my WoW post! Happy Wednesday! 😀

  3. Cheles Bells says:

Oh, that cover! There is something so poignant about it – Love!

  4. Mimi Valentine says:

You always choose to spotlight such cool-sounding books that I’ve never heard of before! Is it bad that I really love those books where there’s a new girl? I know a lot of stories use it, but I find that it’s always so neat to read, especially since I know what it’s like to be the new girl more than my fair share of times! x)

    Awesome pick, Dani! <3 😉

  5. Maria @ A Night's Dream of Books says:

Hi, and thanks for dropping by and commenting on my WOW! I love your pick. It sounds like a very heartwarming tale, the type that you can curl up with on a cozy, rainy night, or a cozy snowy one… To complete the picture, I’d also have a cup of either herb tea or hot chocolate nearby, and a box of hankies, as well. This novel is SO going into my TBR pile!! I’m also checking out that paranormal romance series. Thanks for adding to my wish list!!! : )

  6. Tiffany Drew says:

I haven’t seen this one before either 🙁 I also am quite drawn to the cover. I wish we had a view like that around here, I’d never leave! I’ll have to check this out.

Thanks for stopping by Book Cover Justice!!
