My Sunday Edition

Happy Sunday Y’all! I hope you are having a lovely day and finding some time to read.

Today’s post follows three meme’s:

Showcase Sunday hosted by Books, Biscuits & Tea,  Sunday Post hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer & Stacking the Shelves host by Tynga’s Reviews.

What I bought for this week:

1. Epic Fail by Claire LaZebnik (I saw it was on sale this week for Kindle so I had to get it!)

2. Ruby Unscripted: Life Is What Happens When You Lose the Script by Cindy Martinusen-Coloma (My daughter recommended that I get this. So I did and now she is reading it. Hopefully she will give it back when she finishes it…)

3. Austenland (Austenland #1) by Shannon Hale (This was the deal of the week! Came across it in the clearance aisle at the used book store for just a dollar!)

2. Beautiful Disaster (Beautiful #1) by Jamie McGuire –  Thank you Victoria from Confessions of a Twenty Something Fiction Writer!

What an I reading:

The Last Seer and the Tomb of Enoch

The Last Seer and the Tomb of Enoch by Ashland Menshouse

Look for this to be given away later this month!

What is going on this week:

I have at least one review and Waiting on Wednesday planned so far. Not much else since my kids are still ‘in school’ and I still need to grade papers and teach.

Well I didn’t finish the 6 books like I had hoped to. Monday didn’t turn out to be a day of reading. I did however finish these 5 books:

1.The Shapeshifter’s Secret by Heather Ostler – review coming later this month

2. On the Prowl (The Others #13) by Christine Warren – I wasn’t planning on reading this but I am glad I did!

3. Wishful Thinking (Time of Transition #3) by Gabi Stevens – Another good book that I couldn’t put down until I was finished!

4. The Wrangler (Jackson Hole #5) by Lindsay McKenna – Review coming later this month.

5. Bloodrose (Nightshade #3) by Andrea Cremer – Shocked, saddened, numb… I am still trying to get over it…

So I will stick with my previous goal of 5 books a week. I think that is a much more attainable goal for me. If I read more, then great!

So far this year I have read 135 books ( 35,466 pages) towards my goal of 325 books.

So what did you receive or read this week? Leave me a link so I can drop by and check it out!

  1. Michelle says:

Wow! I really wish I could read that many books before the middle of the year! I can only read that many over the course of the entire year. I’m curious about Cold Kiss and Viscous Deep but I haven’t really gotten around to looking into them yet.

Hey there, this looks really good! 🙂

Epic Fail sounds like a great comedy that you can laugh over and oh my god, Austenland just looks super amazing! I love everything by Shannon Hale, lucky you for getting it (at a clearance sale no less)!!

5 books a week is very fast compared to my sluggish pace of reading *sigh* Can’t wait for your reviews on those 5 you read this week!

  3. Laura Hartley says:

Great haul! I especially love the covers of the two books you’ve won. I’ll definitely be researching more into those books 🙂

I’m reading The Shapeshifter’s Secret this week or next – hope we enjoy it. 😀

Austenland immediately caught my attention, but then I do so love Jane Austen’s books. I am pretty picky about adaptations, but this one sounds like a lot of fun, which is why I have added it to my wish-list. Happy reading!
