Waiting On Wednesday: Deadlocked (Sookie Stackhouse #12) by Charlaine Harris

New WoW

(“Waiting On” Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we’re eagerly anticipating.)

What am I waiting for…

Deadlocked (Sookie Stackhouse, #12)

Deadlocked (Sookie Stackhouse #12) by Charlaine Harris

With Felipe de Castro, the Vampire King of Louisiana (and Arkansas and Nevada), in town, it’s the worst possible time for a body to show up in Eric Northman’s front yard—especially the body of a woman whose blood he just drank.

Now, it’s up to Sookie and Bill, the official Area Five investigator, to solve the murder. Sookie thinks that, at least this time, the dead girl’s fate has nothing to do with her. But she is wrong. She has an enemy, one far more devious than she would ever suspect, who’s out to make Sookie’s world come crashing down.

I will totally admit that I do not watch True Blood. I tried one time and it was just too much for me. I prefer reading this series and cannot wait to get this one!

Please be sure to drop by and enter to win The House on Prospect by Bernadette Walsh!

I also can;t wait for this one!!!!!! I have all the books in this series <3 Super excited! 😀 Great choice! Thanks for stopping by my Wow earlier 🙂

  2. Chandra @ Unabridged Bookshelf says:

I have only watched the first two seasons of True Blood, but I have yet to read any of the series. I own the first book, I just have not had the chance to read it yet. I really need to pick them up! Great Pick! Thanks for stopping by my blog!

  3. Amy @ Book Loving Mom says:

I haven’t read any of this series or watched the show. Not that the books or show don’t sound interesting, I just never got into them and with so many of the books out, that’s a lot of catching up. I don’t have time to read that many.

I’ve only read the first book in this series, and I’ve only seen True Blood in passing. But I like what I’ve seen. I have a lot of catching up to do, though. 🙂

Thanks for stopping by my WoW post. Happy Wednesday!

Another series I haven’t read :s This one has many followers but I’m too lazy to start reading a series so long lol I also tried to watch the tv show (like 6 episodes).

    • Dani says:

I had heard that the first season follows a little more closely to the first book than the rest of the seasons. I think that each season is supposed to follow one of the books.

  6. Darlene says:

You see, I am the exact opposite of you. I saw the tv show before I even knew it was based on books and then when I bought the books and I tried to read them I was a little too overwhelmed by the differences so I put it aside and decided to leave it for another day. Maybe I will try to pick them up again sometime in the near future. I would genuinely like to read them.

  7. Maja says:

Darn it! I know I should be more excited about this book, but the last one left this bitter taste in my mouth and I’m almost scared to pick it up. I’ve read chapter 2 on her website and was less than happy that she seems to be wasting time with that attic again.

  8. Suzanne says:

This sounds like a series I would really like. I must put it on the list because I see it around and think “yeah, I’d like that” and then forget about it again. Thanks for sharing and stopping by my Wow 🙂

  9. Hollie says:

I read the first in this series and never got round to reading the rest, but I’m definitely going to have to catch up on them so I can read this!

    Thanks for stopping by!

  10. manda-rae says:

I can’t wait for this one either. I’ve got my fingers and toes crossed in the hopes that this one is better than the last few Sookie Stackhouse novels. I love the series, but the last few books have only been meh… Great pick!

    Thanks for visiting my WoW.

  11. Lauren says:

I’m SO excited for Deadlocked! It’s on my tbr list too. I actually discovered the show first and then started reading the books. They’re pretty different in comparison so I love different pieces from each.

Thanks for stopping by my wow earlier. 🙂

  12. Cayce says:

    Great pick!
I’m watching True Blood, but I have to admit I hated the first episodes so much I stopped watching it for months. Then started watching it again, because I’ve heard so many good things about it, and saw photos of Eric….. Now it’s one of my favorites. 🙂
I also love the books, can’t wait to read Deadlocked.

  13. Megan @ Between the Lines says:

I COMPLETELY agree about True Blood. I managed to get through last season, but told myself no more. They are so far off from the books, the only thing they seem to be using is the character’s names anymore.

I, too, cannot wait for this. Love me some Sookie!

  14. Kayla B. says:

I’m right there with you on this one, sister! There have been some bumps and lags in the series, but I still love the books. I have had this one preordered since it was available, and I can’t wait to get my hands on it! 😀
