Book Review: You’re My Little Sweet Pea

You’re My Little Sweet Pea

You’re My Little Sweet Pea is a heartwarming board book about the deep bond between a parent, grandparent, or any loved one and their little one. The sweet rhymes and adorable illustrations by Kit Chase help show all the wonderful moments shared with a child, reminding children how special they are and how much they are loved.

Little Sweet Pea, I love you.

From button nose to baby coo.

Squishy cheeks and sparkly eyes,

Pure delight and perfect size.

Tender feet and tiny toes,

Where they’ll take you, no one knows.

If you love books from authors like Nancy Tillman (On the Night You Were Born) and Sam McBratney (Guess How Much I Love You), then You’re My Little Sweet Pea is the perfect book for you.

A wonderful gift for a new baby, baptism, birthday, or any occasion to show your child or grandchild they will always be your little sweet pea.

My Little Sweet Pea was so excited when this beautiful book arrived! She wanted to sit right down and start reading it. My daughter thought this book was written for her since we call her our Little Sweet Pea!

Each page has a lovely illustration of a mama or daddy animal with their baby.  We loved looking at all the animals and naming them.

Along with the pictures is a one-sentence rhyme of what the parents adore about their child. Our favorite one is this:

“Ears so dainty. Hair that swirls. Around your neck ar perfect curls.”

My daughter thought they were describing her!

My Little Sweet Pea is a perfect book for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers. Our daughter is starting to learn to read so she loves practicing with these sweet rhymes. I would recommend this book to any parent of a little one!

We would like to thank ZONDERKIDZ for allowing us to review this book!
