My Weekly Bible Journaling #74: Where was I…
Hello to all my Bible Journaling friends! I have missed seeing all of you. Sorry for the long, unexpected break. I only meant to be gone for a little bit but God took over and well His plans are more important than mine! We had a great time taking a trip to drop one of my boys off at college in Minnesota. Then a week later we drove to visit my sister in Montana.
So now we are home and our school has started. I decided to try some new things in our homeschool and so I have found that I have less time to Bible and Devotional Journaling like I normally did. I don’t like not spending so much time reading and journaling but I am praying that I find more time as the year goes on.
I have also decided to stop doing a link up. It just wasn’t working out like I had hoped. If you have done any Bible or Devotional Journaling I would still love to see it! Just leave me a link in the comments.
If you want to see what I have Bible Journaled up till now check out my Pinterest Page for The Beautiful Word Coloring Bible, NIV.
Here is what I have been journaling in my Beautiful Word Coloring Bible.
Jeremiah 9:24 – but let the one who boasts boast about this: that they have the understanding to know me,
that I am the Lord, who exercises kindness, justice, and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight,” declares the Lord.
Isn’t amazing how we plan our lives and one day you wake up and God is like “hey you do realize that I have plans for you. Plans that are more important than yours.” Well that is what happened to us these past few weeks. We ended up going on two trips with the family. Seeing new places, marveling at God’s beauty and spending times with loved ones we haven’t seen in a while. It was hectic, fun, crazy and now I am in the midst of trying to get back into the swing of things. I am so thankful that God showed us His amazing plans and kept us safe in our travels.
Jeremiah 15:16 – When your words came, I ate them; they were my joy and my heart’s delight,
for I bear your name, Lord God Almighty.
The first time I read this verse I have to admit I wasn’t sure what he was saying. But as I researched it I found it to have a poetic meaning!
When your words came = he discovered that the Word of God has substance to them.
I ate them = Just as we eat food to give out bodies strength we should devour the Word of God to feed our soul.
But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. – Matthew 6:33 I am so Blessed that He loves me and takes care of me!
