A Poppy Birthday Card

It was midnight and I remembered I needed a birthday card! Eeek! So I sat down and tried my hand at water coloring some poppies on a piece of sample watercolor paper.

The next morning I saw what I painted and I am now not sure if they really are poppies! They kind of look like roses. Oh well! I think they are pretty pink/purple flowers no matter what they are.

After I attached the watercolor paper to the card I felt like it was missing something. So I  searched some stamps I just had purchased from Papertrey Ink and found this this Happy Birthday stamp.

It is a simple card but I am pleased with how it turned out. I hope the birthday girl likes it too! Thanks for stopping by!
