My Weekly Bible Journaling #63 Ecclesiastes – Song of Songs (Link Up)
First a very Happy Mothers Day to all the Moms as well as all women out there who inspire us and support us all with their love and kindness!
That is one of the reasons this post is soooo late going up. Last year on Mother’s Day I brought home my youngest baby from the hospital. I had all 8 of my kids home for the day and it was wonderful. This year because of the kids work schedules we will be celebrating today and tomorrow!
The other reason this post is late is because my youngest celebrated her 1st birthday yesterday and then early this morning she woke up sick. She decided to keep Mom and Dad awake until almost 5:00 this morning. I am exhausted!
So I hope you all have a beautiful day. I will be trying to catch some sleep on the couch (haha!)
Here is what I read and journaled this week:
We must not be confident in our own strength, instead we need to look up to God for His blessing. Without that all of our endeavors will be in vain.
I have seen something else under the sun:
The race is not to the swift or the battle to the strong,
nor does food come to the wise or wealth to the brilliant or favor to the learned;
but time and chance happen to them all. – Ecclesiastes 9:11
Just finished reading from the book of Ecclesiastes. I just don’t think this book is read enough!
Now all has been heard; here is the conclusion of the matter:
Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the duty of all mankind. – Ecclesiastes 12:13
Started reading the Song of Solomon today. One of the best Bible studies I ever did is called The Song of Solomon, A Study of Love, Sex, Marriage, and Romance by Tommy Nelson. Have you ever done this Bible study? What do you think of it?
I am the rose of Sharon, and the lily of the valleys. – Song of Solomon 2:1
The good news – We had 10 link ups!
The bad news – not all of them fit in with the theme. So I had to come up with some rules for our link up…
