Watercolor Roses Cards

Just a little something I am working on... #watercolor #roses #watercolorroses #prima #primawatercolors

This past week I decided to play around with these new watercolors I had just received. I ended up making a page of roses. I had never made roses like this before and they are a lot of fun to create!

Made three cards with that one page I watercolors! #watercolorroses #watercolor #roses #card #cards #distressink

After the page was dry I got the idea to use the paper to make a few cards. I am always needing cards so I was thrilled when I was able to cut out enough for three cards!

I cut the paper out and on this card I just used two distress inks on the edges.

On this card, I used my scissors to rough up the edges a bit before I added the distress ink.

Then on this card, I also added some Jane Davenport Glitz Markers to the edge and added some dots to the paper as well.

So far I already have plans for two of these cards and it will be nice to have the extra card in case I need one in a hurry!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Do you make cards or watercolor? Leave me a link to your latest project and I will come by for a visit!

I really LOVE these! What a great idea to paint up a whole page and then cut it up to put on cards. So far I’ve just been illustrating and painting whole card fronts. And I like those roses. It’s amazing how so many iconic things can take on so many different looks! 🙂

Thanks for sharing these! I’ll have to try some of it!

I hate to waste things so after I made the first card I played with the paper until I realized I could make 2 more cards. I am thinking about doing this again when I need some cards!
