My Weekly Bible Journaling #57 – Proverbs 4 – 9
This has been a week of sickness in our house. So far my second oldest son and I are the only ones who have not been ill (Praise the Lord!). I still have 3 that are getting over it so we are having a quiet Easter weekend at home. It feels weird not doing all the egg hunts and having the big meal on Easter. But our family will be together and will be remembering why we celebrate this Holiday.
In our house April is a busy month. This coming week my husband and I will celebrate our anniversary and then later this month 2 of our sons have their birthdays. Not to mention all the members of our extended family who also have their birthday this beautiful month! I am so thankful for my family and I can’t wait to show them that!
This is what I read and worked on this week in my Bible:
Been dealing with sick ones all day. It hurts my heart when my babies are sick! ☹
Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. – Proverbs 4:23
I can’t believe it is almost Easter! This year is flying by already. We are missing all the fun Easter activities we usually do but maybe that is a good thing. Maybe we need to pause and put on eyes on Him rather than the candy.
Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise! – Proverbs 6:6
In between taking care of sick kids and a sick Hubby I am finding some time to read and reflect…
Choose my instruction instead of silver, knowledge rather than choice gold, for wisdom is more precious than rubies, and nothing you desire can compare with her. – Proverbs 8:10-11
Looks like one of my kids may be over this nasty stomach bug! This sickness has taken over our life this week and I can’t wait for it to be out of our house for good! Now I need to start getting ready for Good Friday and for Easter!
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. – Proverbs 9:10
