It was chilly this week and one day we had snow in the area but none of it ever fell on us. We have another chance for snow this week and some of the kids are hoping to actually see some. I am enjoying the chilly weather snuggles I am getting from my little ones.
We saw a nutritionist and she had a few helpful suggestions for us as we learn to feed our son a gluten free diet. in the next few months he will be tested again to see if this was genetic. No one on either side has Celiac Disease so I think it will be interesting to see how this happened. The interesting thing we just found out – our small local Wal-Mart is carrying a bunch of new gluten free food! Yeah!
Here is what I have read and journaled in my Beautiful Word Coloring Bible this past week:
Spent Monday taking kids to the doctor and shopping for gluten free and lactose free food. By the time I got home I was ready for a nap but we had to unload and make dinner! So I didn’t get a moment to do any Bible reading or journaling. It is amazing how much I missed it!
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. – Psalm 34:18
Love reading the Book of Psalm and coming across old favorites like this one:
Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. – Psalm 37:4
Hope in the Lord and keep his way.
He will exalt you to inherit the land; when the wicked are destroyed, you will see it. – Psalm 37:34
Busy day and full desk. I have things I need to catch up on and do but I have to remember to take time and read His Word. My relationship with Him will help me in all I do.
I waited patiently for the Lord; he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God.
Many will see and fear the Lord and put their trust in him. Blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, who does not look to the proud, to those who turn aside to false gods. Many, Lord my God, are the wonders you have done, the things you planned for us.
None can compare with you; were I to speak and tell of your deeds, they would be too many to declare. – Psalm 40:1-5
I want to thank A Delightsome Life and Shoestring Elegance for spotlighting me this week!

God bless and help you as you navigate dealing with all of these dietary changes for your family! I love your Bible journaling, and am a Bible journaler myself!
Ohh! Do you post your Bible Journaling online? If you do I would love to see what the Lord is teaching you!
I love these verses!
And yay for finding gluten free foods more easily.
Psalms has some of my favorite verses!
We are so thankful that we are finding food for my son and it’s food he likes!
I especially like the one with the butterflies and the scriptures you’re sharing.
Aww! Thank you! I hope you have a lovely week!
Those are especially pretty! And such comforting verses too.
I love reading these verses! Blessings to you!
Your journaling is so beautiful! What a wonderful way to imprint God’s Word on your heart!
It really has helped me remember the verse I study! Blessings!
Lovely pages. I’m glad you’re dealing well with the gluten free diet. Luckily most places now carry gluten free products, which s a relief. Thank you for joining The Really Crafty Link Party this week, and have a great weekend!
Thank you! And yes, we are finding more and more places are carrying gluten free food. We took him out to eat yesterday and brought some of his gluten free bread with us. He was able to get a bacon hamburger – hold the bread – and corn on the cob to eat. It really made his day to be able to eat something he likes!
Very pretty journaling pages!
Thank you!!
this is something I need to do more of. Found you on Traffic Jam Weekend Link Party.
So glad you found me! I would love to see your Bible Journaling so leave me a link and I will pop over for a visit!
Beautiful journaling and beautiful truth. I’m so sorry about the celiac disease. I hope the diet helps. May God keep providing the wisdom and foods you need to keep your son healthy.
I have been considering starting with journaling/coloring. I note down Scriptures that speak to me almost daily, but don’t color as you do. What has been the biggest blessing in it for you?
The biggest blessing for me would have to be that I remember the verses I study so much easier now. I can recall them and use them more in my daily life.
The second blessing is how much creating this art work relaxes me.I talk to the Lord more and find myself more at peace during the day. I really believe that it helps lower my blood pressure.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful journaling pages. Praying you get some answers concerning your son.
Thank you so much for your prayers!
I’m not a Bible journaler, but I have been blogging my journey in watercolor this month. When I have time, I enjoy a visual journal and hand lettering verses. I think yours here are beautiful! Thanks for sharing them. 🙂

I will be popping over to your blog for a visit! Thanks so much for coming by here!
I love the Psalms. The Jewish read it everyday on a schedule that has them reading it each month. There is a lot of wisdom in the Psalms and prophecy. Thanks for sharing at Home Sweet Home.
I think reading the Psalms everyday is a wonderful idea. I can see where it would Bless my life if I did!
Beautiful as usual!! I would LOVE to learn some of your background techniques, do you have any resources for tutorials you would recommend?
Thank you so much Sabrina!
I watch YouTube videos on different water-coloring and painting techniques then I try to incorporate some of that with what I am doing. There are some water-coloring videos that are so peaceful to watch!
Now the purple page I made is something I came up with and hopefully in the next week or so I can take pictures and demonstrate how easy it is to do (and cheap too!)!
