My Weekly Bible Journaling #43 – Psalms
This past week was busy. We celebrated one of my older son’s birthday. My oldest son came home to spend some time with us. We wrapped and packaged up almost all the Christmas gifts as well as the Christmas cards. I am hoping this week I have more time to work on my oldest daughter’s stocking:
Please keep my younger son in your prayers this week. He is having a procedure done to see if he has Celiac disease.
I was about to work on my next page when I realized I never posted this page that I finished last week! Just a simple, calm design. Something I needed to feel when I created it – calmness.
“I know that you can do all things; no purpose of yours can be thwarted. – Job 42:2
This month it looks like I will be in the book of Psalms. An interesting book to read while everyone else is focused on Christ’s birth. Looking forward to seeing where He wants to take me and what He wants me to learn….
For this page, I started playing with some of my colored pencils and gamsol. I wasn’t planning on a tie-dye look but somehow that happened!
Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked
or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers,
Psalm 1:1
Praying for one of my sons today. He has such a gentle, sweet spirit and people seem to go out of their way to be mean to him. I try to protect him but I am not with him all the time. Praying that He put a shield around him and protect his little heart as he starts to grow into the man God wants him to be.
I know it is Christmas time but it was so dreary outside today that I needed a little bit of cheerful color. When I thought about the word shield for some reason I went with gold. I was going to make the flowers red but I just wasn’t feeling it so I went with the pink. Looks perfect for a Spring day.
But you, Lord, are a shield around me, my glory, the One who lifts my head high. – Psalm 3:3
No peace for me today! We are celebrating a birthday in our house today. I started the day off with making pigs in a blanket and then I need to make beef and chicken enchiladas as well as chocolate turnovers for dessert.
In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety. – Psalm 4:8
