My Weekly Bible Journaling #41–Job

Well this has been a week. We took my son who has ben having health issues to a specialist. After some blood work and an x-ray we have an idea what could be going on with him – Celiac Disease. Next month he will be having an endoscopy and then we will find out for sure. Now we are wondering if two of our other kids might have it as well…

We turned in our  OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD boxes this week. The kids asked if we could give a donation online so that we could get special labels to put on these boxes and track them so we can see where they go. What a neat idea! They are so excited  and can’t wait to find out where these boxes end up!

This week I will be busy baking and getting ready for Turkey Day. I am going to try my best to find time everyday to read and hopefully do a little bit of journaling.

Here is what I have read and journaled in my Beautiful Word Coloring Bible this week:

Starting the book of Job this week. What is your favorite verse in this book?

and said:  “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked I will depart.[a]
The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; may the name of the Lord be praised.”
– Job 1:21

This week I am really learning the lesson – “Let Go & Let God”. It is a struggle and hopefully one day I will get it.There are things I can’t control but with His help I can control my response to them.

Then the Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil. And he still maintains his integrity, though you incited me against him to ruin him without any reason.” – Job 2:3

Lots of things on my mind right now… Thankful that He provides for our needs!

He provides rain for the earth; he sends water on the countryside. – Job 5:10

Prayers for your son. The book of Job… awesome he was to stand fast against the odds that Satan threw at him. When reading that book, it was such a lesson on never presume to know what someone is going through or the reasons for their hardship. His friends thought that his troubles were because he has sinned, but the opposite was true. A hard book to read, I thought, with all that he suffered and the heart went out to him, but I so admire Job and his righteousness. Thanks for visiting and linking with Sunday Scripture Blessings.
