My Weekly Bible Journaling #39 – Nehemiah
This week we went shopping to fill our boxes for OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD. My kids love doing this every year and it is a wonderful project for the whole family. Each of the kids have so much fun picking out toys and gifts to give to a child in need. Please click on the link HERE to learn more about this wonderful ministry.
This is what I have read and journaled in my Beautiful Word Coloring Bible this week:
Whenever you try to accomplish anything significant for the Lord, you will face strong opposition. This is a lesson that the Israelites learned when they were trying to rebuild the wall.
After I looked things over, I stood up and said to the nobles, the officials and the rest of the people, “Don’t be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, who is great and awesome, and fight for your families, your sons and your daughters, your wives and your homes.” – Nehemiah 4:14
Had a fun time with the family last night. We watched movies and my husband and I threw candy at our kids… 🙂 It was a fun night relaxing with the ones we love.
I also shook out the folds of my robe and said, “In this way may God shake out of their house and possessions anyone who does not keep this promise. So may such a person be shaken out and emptied!” At this the whole assembly said, “Amen,” and praised the Lord. And the people did as they had promised. – Nehemiah 5:13
I have been praying for a situation today. Praying for peace and wisdom…
Nehemiah said, “Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.” – Nehemiah 8:10
Israel, put your hope in the Lord,
for with the Lord is unfailing love
and with him is full redemption. – Psalm 130:7
Did you know that during the week I post giveaways? Starting this month I thought we could fill our stockings with the giveaways we win. The gift cards can help us buy the presents we need or they make lovely gifts themselves. The only way you win is if you enter! Check out the current giveaways HERE.
This week I reviewed the Pelikan Opaque Watercolor Paint Set and showed how easy this set is to paint in your Bible. Check it out to learn more.
