Review: Big and Little Coloring Devotional
Paperback – 112 pages
Kids crave constant activities and attention. Adults crave quiet moments of refreshment. How can we achieve both? Big and Little Coloring Devotional engages adults’ minds with appealing biblical devotionals while providing a creative outlet through coloring to diffuse stress.
Let’s have fun with our children through coloring and facilitate their spiritual growth with Scripture. Big and Little Coloring Devotional will incorporate physical, spiritual, and emotional refreshment by providing authentic faith-filled devotionals combined with therapeutic doodling for both the adult and child.
My youngest son (who is 10) loves to color. It is so hard to find a coloring book that a 10 year old boy would enjoy coloring. So I was thrilled when I received the Big and Little Coloring Devotional. There are so many pages inside this coloring book that are perfect for a boy!
This coloring book is made so that the two people can color at the same time. There is a devotional on one page and a Bible verse on the other page. The page with the devotional is the slightly more intricate page while the simpler page has the Bible verse. This a fun way to have a devotional time with your child, learn a verse and color together at the same time. It makes learning the Bible so much more fun and easier.
Once my son colors the more boyish pages my daughter is ready to color the more girly pages. I am enjoying this time I spend with my kids and with God’s Word and I know my kids are too.
I was also pleased that different kinds of coloring pencils and techniques worked well in this coloring book. We tried out three different types of coloring pencils and I also used the Gamsol blending technique and our pages turned out beautiful!
This book would make a wonderful gift!
