My Weekly Bible Journaling #37 – Ezra

This has been a quiet week which is good since LO has decided she doesn’t want to go to bed until 2 in the morning. The later the night gets the more verbal she becomes and she wants to chat with me even though I want to sleep. So I have been waking up tired this week. Please pray she starts going back to bed at a decent hour and I can get some sleep.

This is what I have read and journaled in my Beautiful Word Coloring Bible this week:

This past Tuesday morning the boys were studying and the girls were playing. It was a bright, sunny Fall day. It is amazing to see God working in so many sweet lives!

For Ezra had devoted himself to the study and observance of the Law of the Lord, and to teaching its decrees and laws in Israel. – Ezra 7:10

God has blessed me today in so many ways. I am always amazed and thrilled by what He does for me and for my family.

But now, for a brief moment, the Lord our God has been gracious in leaving us a remnant and giving us a firm place[a] in his sanctuary, and so our God gives light to our eyes and a little relief in our bondage. – Ezra 9:8

I am finishing up the Book of Ezra today. I accidently made this page a bit too dark. I was trying to cover up the drawing I didn’t like and the dark blue started to go everywhere. I have learned from my mistakes and hopefully this won’t happen again! Thankfully I used gesso on my page. Nothing bled onto the other side of the page!

The People Confess Their Sin While Ezra prayed and made confession, weeping and casting himself down before the house of God, a very great assembly of men, women, and children, gathered to him out of Israel, for the people wept bitterly. – Ezra 10:1

Bible Journaling has really helped me with my reading. You should give it a try. You can do what I do and start with a Coloring Bible.

I hear you, I always have the hardest time surviving a day when the kids didn’t let me properly sleep at night. You pages look lovely as usual, thank you so much for sharing them at The Really Crafty Link Party this week!
