Using Watercolor Pencils in Your Inspire Proverbs Coloring Bible

Today I thought I would give you a quick look at how easy it is to use watercolor pencils. When I came across this page in my Inspire Proverbs I knew it would be perfect for watercolor pencils. The paper in this book is rather thick so I don’t have to worry about using paint on it.

To use watercolor pencils in a coloring book (or Bible) all you have to do is lay down the color where you want color to be darker. You can also blend two colors together as well. I didn’t have a green I really liked for the leaves so I used two different greens to color them in.

One thing to remember is that you don’t have to lay down a lot of color. A little bit of color goes a long way.

Another thing to think about – you don’t have to get them wet if you don’t want to. I almost left this page just like this because I liked how well it looks dry.

Gently using a water brush I went over what I had colored. I am always amazed how the color spreads once it is gets wet. Move the colors around until you are happy with the look. If you feel like it could use some more color then wait a moment until it air dries and add more color to it.

If you have any questions about watercolor pencils I am more than happy to help. I am not an expert, just someone who loves to use this kind of art medium..
