My Weekly Bible Journaling #26– Finishing up 2nd Samuel

Sorry this is going up late. I got up not feeling very well. Hopefully this will be a quick bug because I have a super busy week ahead of me.

All the kids are home from camp now and they had a great time. My week was a quiet one with only 3 kids home. My 14 year old was a huge help and we did binge watch a few of our favorite shows together. We did suffer a loss in my family and I am still reeling from that.

This week we are cleaning the house and getting ready for my sister to visit. We are so looking forward to seeing her and her family!

Here is what I finished in my Beautiful Word Coloring Bible this week:co44nvertedimage

Reading about the Davidic covenant and David’s prayer of Thanksgiving today.

He is the one who will build a house for my Name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever. – 2 Samuel 7:13

Still reading about the life of David. God sees every sin we commit. Big or small, he judges us and only forgives us if we ask Him to through the Blood of His Son.

After the time of mourning was over, David had her brought to his house, and she became his wife and bore him a son. But the thing David had done displeased the Lord. – 2 Samuel 11:27

I am dealing with a loss in my fmaily. I am numb and sad at the same time. I am so thankful I have a relationship with a loving God who is always there for me.

As for God, his way is perfect: The Lord’s word is flawless; he shields all who take refuge in him. – 2 Samuel 22:31

This is the perfect verse for me to work on today. Now I didn’t mean to make this page so dark but it turned out better than I thought it would. My youngest son suggested I write the words in white and I am so glad he did!

David said to Gad, “I am in deep distress. Let us fall into the hands of the Lord, for his mercy is great; but do not let me fall into human hands.” – 2 Samuel 24:14

Dani, sorry you’re not feeling well and I’m so sorry for your loss. I love to Bible Journal as well, it’s one of my favorite ways to connect with the Word. Your art is beautiful, thank you for sharing! I’m visiting you today from Soul Survival Linkup.

  2. debbieputman says:

The beauty of your pages reflects your heart of trusting in God even in stressful times. Praying you are filled with His peace that passes understanding as you face grief. Sorry for your loss; I know how devastating that is.

  3. Teresa B says:

Lovely as always. The all painted page with the white lettering is my favorite this week. Thank you for joining The Really Crafty Link Party, and have a wonderful weekend.

  4. Kasey Holloway says:

You’re journaling is beautiful! I’ve really wanted to get into Bible journaling, I even bought a journaling Bible but I’m so afraid that I will mess up and ruin the whole thing! lol

    • Dani says:

I felt that way when I first started as well. That is why I started a Prayer and Praise Journal. I used it to write my prayer requests, praises and what I had learned studying the Bible. Then I colored and painted and stamped in it. It is a wonderful way to test out new ideas and to see how things might work in your Bible!

  5. createwithjoy says:

That last page with the white writing is lovely. I don’t Bible Journal but do admire those who do. My Bible does have lots of notes and underlines though. ^_^
Take care of yourself, hope the illness doesn’t take too long to pass. Enjoy time with your sister.

  8. Jann Olson says:

Beautiful! I hope you are feeling better. Losing loved ones is hard, We just had a niece pass away unexpectantly. Thanks for sharing with SYC.
