My Weekly Bible Journaling #13

Hello to all my sweet friends!

This has been a nice week. I was able to get some rest (when my 2 year old lets me) and we saw the doctor on Friday. Little one is measuring a week and a half ahead od schedule. And I need to drink more water. All in all a good visit!

Rain is coming through this weekend so I took a picture of my Yellow Rose of Texasย  just in case it was damaged by winds or hail or anything.

Here is what I studied and worked on this week as I am making my way through my Beautiful Word Coloring Bible:

I had almost finished the Book of Numbers. I have read this Old Testament book before but I had forgotten a lot the stories and lessons that are to be learnedโ€ฆ

And this was my last page in the book of Numbers! It has been an interesting book to study and now I am looking forward to Deuteronomy.

And here is my first page of the book of Deuteronomy. I decided to actually create this page using stamps, watercolor and of course handwriting. I do not like my handwriting at all and I am actually afraid of making notes in my Bible because of how it looks. Thought this verse would be appropriate and wouldn’t you know it… I messed up on it!

This week I had a Happy Mail day! If you remember earlier I was entering to win one of these Message Bibles and guess what? I won one!! Thank you so much @themessagebible for the beautiful Bible!! I am so happy I won this wonderful Bible! #colorthecanvasbible

And here is the very first page I completed in it! If you are interested in winning a copy of this Bible you can just go to this website to learn more:

That’s what I hope my yellow roses will look like when they grow up I love your Numbers illustration. Thanks for sharing on the #sundaythoughts link up!

    • Dani says:

I am sure it will! This one I just water. It is in the back and I usually forget about him. He still does really well and I am always happy to see his blossoms!

  2. Peabea says:

I don’t see a mess up and your writing looks fine. Congratulations on the win…I may just have to try entering. Thanks for sharing the info. I hope the wind didn’t destroy your lovely rose. I use to have some, but I’m just not a green thumb so after a few years, they were gone.
Thanks for visiting me and linking. Appreciated. ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Dani says:

You are very sweet and kind! ๐Ÿ™‚
You should enter! It is easy and fun and they give away a Bible a week!
Thankfully the wind did not destroy them and I think that they enjoyed all the rain!! ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. Karen Sargent says:

Wow. I am amazed. This is my first visit to your Weekly Bible Journaling page. Is journaling/canvas a new thing now? This is the first time I’ve seen it! I love the beauty your artwork adds to the words on the page!

    • Dani says:

Bible Journaling has been around for a few years. I started playing around with it and learning more about it last year and this year I decided to get serious with it. It has helped me so much! I hope you will give it a try!

    • Dani says:

I don’t feel like I have a gift. I just learn the verses and find ways to highlight them for myself and for my children who will one day inherit this Bible.

  4. Debbie Kitterman says:

Love the beautiful journal entries your have made… and your mess up – honestly, at first and even 2nd glance I couldn’t see it… we are harder on ourselves than others… I think it makes it uniquely yours and hey, in Bible Journaling, I always say, there is no right or wrong way to do it. ๐Ÿ™‚ I always enjoy looking at your pages.. Congratulations on winning too. Your neighbor today at #TestimonyTuesday

      • Debbie Kitterman says:

Dani – I am so sorry, it has taken me a whole week to stop by and comment from #TuneInThursday linkup last week. I was away at a Conference since last week and the wifi was practically non-existent.

Again thank you for linking up last week, and I hope to see you today at #TuneInThursday

    • Dani says:

Now not all of them are coloring Bibles. I figured it would be best for me to start with one and once I am finished reading and painting in this one I will move on to a blank journaling Bible and use my rubber stamps in it. ๐Ÿ™‚

      • hopewellslibraryoflife says:

Oh that’s a great idea! I’m not very good with them–I can’t do multiple colors with one stamp, but I love stamps. I’d love to learn more about using them. I loved and shared your post though!

        • Dani says:

I love stamping! The best way to start (if you are going to stamp in your Bible) is to put down a layer or two of clear gesso so that the ink doesn’t bleed through. Here is a post I made about the gesso:

Next use Ranger’s Archival Ink to stamp your image. Once the ink is dry you can watercolor the image and the ink will not smear!

Let me know if you have any questions and I will be happy to help!

  5. Beauty in Christ (@Emily11949309) says:

So I have actually been really loving Bible journaling; it really helps me to meditate on God’s truth, and just wonder at who He is and His salvation. It really forces me to slow down and chew on the words so much. Your Bible journaling is beautiful.

    • Dani says:

It does! I am enjoying reading through the Bible and seeing things I have missed before. some of the verses I am focusing on have been so helpful to me!

  6. ~ginny says:

  9. Kimberly Pate says:

Journaling in your bible has really started to grow. I have always been one to not write in my bible. However, yours looks awesome, and is very inspiring. Love the look, and the time it must take to do it. Thank you for sharing your inspiration.

This is super duper amazing…It inspires me to start one. Thank you for blessing us with your artwork here at Word Art Wednesday. We are midway on our current challenge and I hope you join us again. Leaving you with the inspiration of God’s Word found in 1 Corinthians 16:13-14 which tells us, “Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong. Do everything in love.” Have an awesome week.
