My Weekly Bible Journaling #8

This week I am still working my way through Leviticus. I had read through the Bible when I was a teenager and I had forgotten a lot of these stories in this book. It really is an interesting book to read and I find myself enjoying it more than I thought I would.

I was working on this page earlier this week. As you can see I was munching on some fresh blueberries but what you can’t see is that I was also praying. My twin nieces have been fighting RSV this week at the hospital. One of them is home now and we are waiting on her sister to get better so she too can come home. Please lift them up in your prayers

Tuesday the sun finally came out and I finished this page. I used these Distress Crayons as watercolors to make my background and I love how soft it looks. The colors work great and they were so easy to use.

Growing up my neighbor grew poppies every year. Their cheerful red faces faced our house and I love looking at them blow in the summer breeze. As as soon as I saw this page that is the memory that came to me…

Someone I know is starting her journey to color through her Bible. She asked for some encouragement so I made her a card and these Scripture verse tags. She can hang these stags up in her car, bathroom or where ever. Or she can use them as bookmarks or even share them with others. I just hope they bring her some happiness and I pray that God touches her heart and her life with His Word.

I had a lot of fun and found it really relaxing to make these tags. I played with some supplies I had forgotten I had and tested out some ideas to see what might work in my own Bible.

Thanks! I am sending them to her this week and I can’t wait for her to get them. Those Distress Crayon are wonderful to use!

You have such a kind heart making these pretty tags cum bookmarks for your friend. Hope your nieces get well soon. I have just started reading the Bible with a friend and it has already given me a new positivity towards life. I have been struggling with rheumatoid arthritis since the last 1 and 1/2 years and finally I am beginning to feel better physically and mentally. Thanks to the Lord who listens to everyone who prays to him.

  • Love the little tags you made. How thoughtful of you and I like the blue pages 🙂 Now I want some blueberries.

  • well I had recently bought one of those Bibles, I could not bring myself to write in it. I will have to get it out again and see what I can do. Thanks for the reminder.

I was the same way. I held onto this Bible for a few months before I started coloring in it. I love reading the Word and them talking to God while I am painting/ coloring.

I read through the bible recently 2 years ago. I gained new insight but I was trying to complete the bible in it’s entirety so i didn’t focus on some of the nuggets I picked up along the way. This year – I decided to start from the book of Joshua and really take my time as I read and write. Starting from a different books makes different books fresher to me. Regardless, I’m amazed that no matter what technique I use, God shows me something new each time, as if I’d never read it. Stopping by from #ThoughtProvokingThursday
