Coloring Books and Music: What do You Listen to When You Color?
This past week I was asked what I like to listen to when I color. I do like to listen to music and not the TV when I am coloring. I find it so much more relaxing to do so. I am also a fan of instrumental music. Growing up I hated instrumental/ classical music. Now I can’t get enough of it!
I think I like listen to instrumental music because I have noticed that if a song is on that I know that has lyrics I start singing along and I lose my coloring concentration and I end up getting distracted…
This past couple of months I have been coloring in the My Favorite KJV Verses to Color coloring book. I enjoy coloring in this book and thought I would show you some of the music I have listened to while coloring…
One CD I am almost always turning on is this Instrumental Songs of Worship for Quiet Moments. All the songs are done in a peaceful way that it makes a lovely backdrop for coloring or even spending an quiet evening at home with your family. You get 40 songs for $12! That is a great deal! It is only available as an MP3 which I was fine with.
Another enjoyable CD is this one called Relaxing Piano Music: Greatest Hymns: Best Loved Hymns and Spiritual Songs for Christian Devotion. A lot of the songs are the old Hymns I grew up with so I find it a comforting CD to listen to. I also love that there are 29 songs on it for only $6!
This last CD, Classical Praise Volume 6: Harp, is one I play a lot in the mornings. It is a bit different than what I normally listen and that is because of the Harp. It blends in so well with the other instruments and the songs are all quite lovely to listen to.
So what music do you like to listen to while you are coloring. Or do you have the TV on instead? I would love to hear what you like to listen to while you are being creative!
Have a great weekend!
