Bible Journaling: Week 2

Happy Sunday friends!

I had a busy week but I am still not caught up to where we are reading as a family. I am having a fun and relaxing time painting, coloring and learning more about God’s Word.

Last week I had a question about how I am doing these pages in my BIble. I am currently using the NIV Beautiful Word Coloring Bible. In it there are some pages that have drawings for you to color on the side and other pages are just have journaling lines on the side. There there are several pages where it is a full page to color like the one below:

Now this page just wasn’t me. I didn’t like the disco dancing couple. So I used some acrylic paints and stickers and covered them up:

Now this is a page I like! The paint also did not bleed through on to the back side of this page because I used two coats of  clear Prima Marketing Art Basics Gesso before I did anything else. This gesso is perfect for your Bible pages and prevents paints and inks from bleeding through. I love it!

Another fun and colorful way to highlight your verses is these Accu-Gel Bible Highlighters. These gel highlighters are so much better than regular highlighters in your Bible. They do not bleed through at all!

This is the first time I have use any kind of watercolors in my Bible. I love these LYRA Aqua Color Water-Soluble Wax Crayons! So easy to use with my Pentel Arts Aquash Water Brush. I did the words and the rainbow using my favorite LolliZ Gel Pens.

A fast but simple page dealing with sin. Nothing beautiful about sin but I am pleased with how this page turned out.

This page I used Tim Holtz Distress Mini Ink Pads and the Mini Ink Blending Tool. I love using them to color in my backgrounds. Silver and white gel pens work great for the moon and stars.

Now these bookmarks aren’t for my Bible Journaling but I had fun making them! I made 8 bookmarks for my family to use in our Bibles during our daily Bible reading. The stamps are from My Daily Bread Designs.

Here is what they looked liked finished! I used packing tape to cover them. Now they feel like they are laminated and should last a lot longer!

If you have any questions or suggestions feel free to leave me a comment!

I hope you enjoy this journey with me this year. If you want to join in leave me a link to your blog, Pinterest or Instagram page where you have your Bible Journaling pages and I will be happy to check them out and leave them some love!

Supplies I used are listed below:
