Spend some quiet time relaxing with this adult coloring book, the worries of life can wait! Life is full of demands. Appointments, deadlines, obligations, and constant digital chatter occupy every moment and build a mountain of unhealthy stress and tension. Why not eliminate some of that stress as you ponder the peace, joy, hope, and encouragement found in the incredible imagery of the Psalms? Take a break from your busy schedule, and focus on filling the intricately illustrated pages with the beauty of color. Watch each page come alive as you allow your creativity to flow freely.
The cover of this coloring book is lovely. That and knowing that the pictures inside had verses from Psalms is the reasons I bought it. When it arrived I was a bit disappointed in it. The drawings, well most of them, are just not me.
Some of the detail work in some of these pictures are so small. It looks like I will have to use gel pens for most of it. I seem to be able to color in small areas with them.
The pages are not perforated so you cannot pull them out easily. The pictures are only printed on one side of each page which I do like. The paper itself is not a cardstock, but it is a slightly thicker than normal paper.
There are a few pages that I donβt like at all like the one with the ram pictured above. He looks a bit evil to me. Now the floral one below it is more to my taste and style.
The handwriting is a bit much and it makes it hard to read. Too small on some of the pages, it gives me a bit of a headache reading them. This is disappointing since I bought it because I love these Scriptures.
I really hope this gives you a good idea of what you will find in this Beside Still Waters: Coloring the Psalms coloring book. Maybe the drawing will be more appealing to you than they are to me. Please let me know what your thoughts are about this book.

I think this coloring book is okay, kind of too busy. #ProductReviewParty
It is a bit busy! π
What a shame that the scriptures aren’t more of a focal point. Thank you for being honest in your review. Thanks for sharing with #TheCozyReadingSpot
I agree! Thanks for stopping by!
My kids would certainly enjoy the hidden symbols part of this book, but I agree with you that it’s a real pity the psalms aren’t bigger! Thanks so much for linking up this post at Booknificent Thursday on Mommynificent.com this week!

My kids love to look for the hidden objects too! Reminds me of those puzzles we used to do in that kids magazine growing up! π
