I am so sorry! I took an unexpected break last week. Between Father’s Day, my youngest son’s birthday, 2 of my boys going to camp, my oldest son moving to another city and a couple other things that popped up in my life – well I got swamped and I just didn’t have the time to put up a post. I hate that but my family comes first and they needed me.
This week I will have 4 kids at camp and only 3 kids at home. It will be a quiet week… I think… Prayers for my campers and for my daughter who is having some teeth worked on this week!
For the past two weeks I have been using the Beautiful Word Coloring Bible.
When bad things happen or when we are going through trials we may wonder – Why is God doing this to us? Doesn’t He love us and want us to be happy? What we can’t seem to grasp is that He is working in our lives. He is waiting for us to fully depend on Him, to exalt Him no matter how horrible our life is at the moment. He is making sure that we are truly ready to receive His grace and He is preparing us for the gifts that He has prepared for us.
Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you; therefore he will rise up to show you compassion.
For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for him! – Isaiah 30:18
I am sure I must have read this verse before but today, for some reason, it feels like the first time. What an amazing prayer that I am sure all of us have felt in our hearts at one time or another.
Lord, be gracious to us; we long for you.
Be our strength every morning, our salvation in time of distress. – Isaiah 33:2
Only God has the power to change us in marvelous ways. We just need to have faith and trust in Him and Him alone!
Then will the eyes of the blind be opened and the ears of the deaf unstopped. – Isaiah 35:5
Special prayers for my kids today. Two of them are at camp, one of them is getting ready to make a move, one of them has health issues, one of them needs His wisdom and guidance.
The living, the living—they praise you, as I am doing today;
parents tell their children about your faithfulness. – Isaiah 38:19
My babies are home! Now we are getting ready to send 4 off to camp next week…
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. – Isaiah 41:10
Anxiety weighs down the heart, but a kind word cheers it up. – Proverbs 12:25
Praying for my kids and Hubby today! (Day 6/100 Days of Bible Promises)
Do your best and trust God with the rest! (Day 7/100 Days of Bible Promises)
