My Weekly Bible Journaling #65: Isaiah and 100 Days of Bible Promises Devotional Journal (Link Up)

 

 

 

This week turned out a lot busier than I expected. Setting up my Privacy Policy took a lot longer than I thought it would. I was able to package up several boxes and a couple of bags of clothes to donate. Next I need to go through my two younger daughters clothes. They are finally growing and some of their clothes are starting to look a little tight. I am still trying to find time to paint the play house. Only now we are getting that Texas summer heat so that won’t be as much fun as I had hoped…

This week we have 2 birthdays to celebrate! So I am off to wrap presents and decorate!

I had been reading about this verse and was going to write out my thoughts about it when my little one woke up from nap time screaming. She is cutting teeth right now and wanted Mommy to cuddle with her. So when I finally came back to this page – I had totally forgotten what I was going to say!

Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I. Send me!” – Isaiah 6:8

 

One of the prophesies foretelling of the coming Messiah. I do find it interesting that one of His names is Immanuel which means God with us. No matter what the situation we find ourselves in… He is with us! Even when it doesn’t feel like it, even when we feel alone and scare… He is with us! We tend to forget that, tend to think we just have to be strong when what we need to do is lean on Him and not be afraid. As I read today’s devotional I started thinking about this Hymn and the story behind it. No matter what we have or will go through – nothing is too difficult for God. He will help us walk out of all of our trials. (Day 3/100 Days of Bible Promises) It Is Well with My Soul by Horatio G. Spafford When peace, like a river, attendeth my way, When sorrows like sea billows roll; Whatever my lot, Thou hast taught me to say, It is well, it is well with my soul. Though Satan should buffet, though trials should come, Let this blest assurance control, That Christ hath regarded my helpless estate, And hath shed His own blood for my soul.
