My Weekly Bible Journaling #48 – Psalms

bible

This past week has been a quiet one. My oldest daughter is still out of town but will be heading home in time for my Sweet Hubby’s birthday. This will be an interesting celebration because it will be the first one where we will be doing a gluten free menu. Praying that the food turns out ok and is yummy!

Here is what I have read and journaled in my Beautiful Word Coloring Bible this past week:

Starting this week off with Psalm 50:

The Mighty One, God, the Lord, speaks and summons the earth from the rising of the sun to where it sets.
From Zion, perfect in beauty, God shines forth. - Psalm 50: 1 -2

Spending time in His word before I make dinner (chicken enchiladas!!). Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. - Psalm 51:10

I don’t have a set time or schedule when I do my Bible reading prayer and journaling. I just do it when I find a free moment. I spent some time in His word before I made dinner (chicken enchiladas!!) the other night.

Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. – Psalm 51:10

Who doesn't need to hear this verse... Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken. - Psalm 55:22

Organizing my recipes especially my gluten free ones. If you have any gluten free recipes that your family enjoys please share them with Me!

This is a project I have been working on this past week. I collect and print up recipes that are gluten free and sound yummy to make. In order not to lose them I tape them onto scrapbook paper, put them in page protectors and in a special binder. So now I have a pretty recipe binder that makes cooking so much easier!

That was my first up close look at a journaling/colouring bible and yours is beautiful. I recently tried cooking with gluten free pasta which worked well. A lot less sticky of course but tasted the same. Always interesting and fun to try new things food wise. Hope your gluten free meal is a big success. God bless. So pretty, I love the butterflies page. The recipe binder is also a great idea. For a while when I was breastfeeding my daughter I had to go dairy free and it was a challenge to find tasty recipes that were 100% dairy free. Thank you for joining The Really Crafty Link Party, and have a wonderful week!

Thank you Teresa! I love butterflies and I just had to put them on my page. 🙂
It is hard to find yummy recipes that are dairy free! I never realized before how much we put milk into!

I’m a newbie to Bible journaling, but find it to be such a peaceful and calming time. I’m following a 52-week Bible reading challenge to read the Bible in a year. I’ve been setting aside time every day (usually late afternoon before dinner) to read the chapters designated for that day. I’m closing in on January and have not missed a day. I have the “Inspire” journaling Bible.

Bible Journaling really is peaceful and calming. It helps me lower my BP!
I was going to read the Bible in a year last year but then I decided to read what I can when I can and just see what the Lord wants me to learn.
I too have an Inspire Bible and I can’t wait to get started in it.

Hi, first time visitor here. Found you through the Sitting Among Friends link-up.

Your pages are beautiful! I enjoy journaling too, but not in my Bible, I do it in a notebook, unfortunately I don’t do it regularly.

I also have a special diet I’m following for health reasons, so I made a little book for recipes too. Write them out, doodle, washi tape, etc and made a cover out of some old art I had lying around. It’s a fun way to create something pretty and useful we can use for years.

Seeing your Bible journaling pages has made me want to commit to it more regularly… can only improve and grow if I practice it consistently, right?

Thank you so much for coming by for a visit. I also have a journaling notebook but I don’t use it that often. I really should! Would love to see what you are working on if you post them.

I love making recipe binders. I have fun decorating the recipes and I hope my kids enjoy using them one day.

Paulette, I just love your creative artwork and wish my drawings and lettering could look half as good. I don’t Bible-journal in this same way but my friend Lillian over at Embracing the Lovely (http://embracingthelovely.com/) also does beautiful Bible journaling which you can check out on her site.
    Wishing you blessings!

I love Psalm 51. I have used that a few times in prayer. Your journaling is lovely. I also have made a binder of recipes as you are doing. It is my favorite cookbook! Thanks for sharing at Home Sweet Home! I will feature this week!

I began the process of making recipe binders years ago in order to keep track of all those new recipes that I found and printed and kept.:) It has become a keepsake of all my kids favorites and I have made them for friends as gifts as well.
Thanks for sharing this at the #GraceMoments Link Up.
    Blessings,
    Dawn
