Another busy week at our house! 3 doctors visits, church, my oldest daughter came home from CO and my oldest son and his girlfriend came home and brought us a surprise…

Yes, that is a puppy. One of my boys has taken to it and now it is called Chewy. Rumor has it a few of his brothers may be joining him this week. Pray for us!

Now onto what I read and journaled in my Beautiful Word Coloring Bible this week:

This was a  wonderful verses to start the week off with!

8 Give praise to the Lord, proclaim his name; make known among the nations what he has done.
9 Sing to him, sing praise to him; tell of all his wonderful acts.
10 Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice.
11 Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always.
– 1 Chronicles 16:8-11

Some wise advice from David:

Now devote your heart and soul to seeking the Lord your God. Begin to build the sanctuary of the Lord God, so that you may bring the ark of the covenant of the Lord and the sacred articles belonging to God into the temple that will be built for the Name of the Lord – 1 Chronicles 22:19

So many thoughts and prayers running through my mind right now. So thankful I have God who listens and understands these desires and thoughts.

And you, my son Solomon, acknowledge the God of your father, and serve him with wholehearted devotion and with a willing mind, for the Lord searches every heart and understands every desire and every thought. If you seek him, he will be found by you; but if you forsake him, he will reject you forever. – 1 Chronicles 28:9

I started working on this Inspire Proverbs Coloring Bible page while waiting for my oldest daughter to come home this week. It was around midnight and my youngest was asleep so I had some time to pray and be creative.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
– Proverbs 3:5-6

Such lovely journaling pages….makes me realize I need to get back to journaling. When I do, it does bring out the scripture so much better than just a read through. Thanks for sharing.

I love your journaling pages- such a creative way to connect with God. It’s not something I’ve done but I’d like to try. And the puppy is adorable too! Visiting from Glimpses.

I love the journaling. That bicycle one is gorgeous. I do some journaling myself but not Bible journaling and I haven’t shared much of it online yet. I have been sketching though. I share one of my little doodles in my post today.

I love painting in books because I hope they will become heirloom pieces that my kids can pass down. I have some pieces like that and they mean so much to me.

I am afraid to do a stress test. Who know what they will say about me!!! 🙂

      Have an awesome week!!

Beautiful! I have a Beautiful Word Bible and I’ve been a little hesitant to start journaling in it. But I know I should just have at it and not worry about how it’s going to look. What’s important is the meaning behind it. Thanks for sharing your beautiful pages! I’m your neighbor at #FreshMarketFriday. Blessings to you!

I love my Beautiful Word Coloring Bible. I feel like it is the perfect Bible to start journaling in. I used to worry about how my pages will turn out but once I truly gave it over to Him to lead me, well now I am a lot less stressed about it. I have made a few mistakes but I think that just adds to what I am learning.

I hope you start journaling. I think you will love it.

  7. Tami says:

The most I add to my Bible are key words or definitions as I learn. I do highlight key words, too. I am thinking about getting a journaling Bible but I haven’t taken the plunge.

Thanks for joining us in Literacy Musing Mondays this week.
