My Weekly Bible Journaling #30 – 2 Kings

Hello my friends!

We had a relatively quiet week. Now Hubby is sick so we are having a quiet weekend at home. I am praying that this is the last of this sickness!

Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers for South Texas. We only saw a little bit of rain here. I am amazed at the outpouring of love from everyone everywhere.

Now I am going to keep this short this week. My LO is taking a nap and I really need to clean this house! Smile

Here is what I read and journaled in my Beautiful Word Coloring Bible:

So much going on the day I finished this page! My oldest daughter is flew out to visit with my family. One of my sons went on a job interview. And I had a few sick kids at home.
All that plus what is going on south of us is on my mind and in my prayers.

Give ear, Lord, and hear; open your eyes, Lord, and see; listen to the words Sennacherib has sent to ridicule the living God. -2 Kings 19:16

Hezekiah’s faith and the way he prays can teach us so much! I love how God heard his prayers and answered him.

Remember, Lord, how I have walked before you faithfully and with wholehearted devotion and have done what is good in your eyes.โ€ And Hezekiah wept bitterly. – 2 Kings 20:3

I am coming to the end of my reading the book of 2 Kings. I had forgotten some of these stories so it has been nice to revisit a book I don’t read very often. I enjoyed reading this book more than I thought I would!

Because your heart was responsive and you humbled yourself before the Lord when you heard what I have spoken against this place and its peopleโ€”that they would become a curse[a] and be laid wasteโ€”and because you tore your robes and wept in my presence, I also have heard you, declares the Lord. – 2 Kings 22:19
