My Weekly Bible Journaling #28 – 2 Kings

bible

Busy week but a good one! We had such a lovely visit with my family. We loved hold the baby cousins and swimming with the older one. Now we are praying that God will lead them back to Texas.

I have been battling some ickyness but I am feeling a lot better today. The good news is the Little One (who turned 3 months old yesterday) didn’t catch whatever bug I had!

This week I am getting things ready for our school to start. Until then I am going to watch another storm roll through…

Here is what I read and journaled in my Beautiful Word Coloring Bible this week:

Have you ever read through the book of 1st Kings? It is an awesome book with so many verses that just stick with you. This one did it for me today…

Hear me, O Lord, hear me, that this people may know that You are the Lord God, and that You have turned their hearts back to You again. – 1 Kings 18:37

This one took a lot longer to work on because my family was here for a short visit. I miss them already and they haven’t been gone that long! Praying that they have safe travels and that He leads them to find the right job and place to live for their family.

And he said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the Lord. And, behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the Lord; but the Lord was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but the Lord was not in the earthquake:
And after the earthquake a fire; but the Lord was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice.
1 Kings 19:11 – 12

Starting 2 Kings today. Reading about how God suddenly took Elijah to Himself, amid a grand display of His power in and through the forces of nature. It’s one of the stories we always tell our kids about and watch their eyes grow in wonder over the fantastic power of God.

As they were walking along and talking together, suddenly a chariot of fire and horses of fire appeared and separated the two of them, and Elijah went up to heaven in a whirlwind. – 2 Kings 2:11

Oh there is nothing worse than being icky with a baby and wondering if they are going to catch it from you. We manage to pass cold round and round and round! Beautiful journaling as always. Thanks for linking up with #TwinklyTuesday
