My Weekly Bible Journaling #24– 1st Samuel

What a lovely week!

Had a great time celebrating 4th of July with all but one of the kids. We had homemade wings and chicken tenders with the kids favorite homemade mac and cheese. Of course we also had out own private fireworks show! I enjoyed the show from one of our cars with the LO. It was comfortable and air conditioned and the noise did not bother LO at all!

Friday my family celebrated my birthday. My oldest son came home Saturday and brought me my favorite dinner from my favorite restaurant. I have had a lovely time and feel very Blessed.

Now three of my kids are off to camp again and will be home later this week. We still have two doctors appointments to go to and I pray that will be all!

This is what I worked on in my Beautiful Word Coloring Bible:

I think it is interesting that even the Israelites fell to peer pressure. It is so easy to do. We have to be like everyone else because everyone must be happier than we are…

Then we will be like all the other nations, with a king to lead us and to go out before us and fight our battles. – 1 Samuel 8:20

One morning this week I found out that one of my kids had done something to their mouth and damaged their tooth. Good news it is a baby tooth but bad news is that it will look different for a few years. It really bothered me and then that afternoon I read this verse…

But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” – 1 Samuel 16:7

For my birthday I received 3 journaling Bibles and some new supplies. I can’t wait to start using them!
For this page I bought these animal paw print stickers and they fit this verse perfectly!

The Lord who rescued me from the paw of the lion and the paw of the bear will rescue me from the hand of this Philistine.” Saul said to David, “Go, and the Lord be with you.” – 1 Samuel 17:37

Last Sunday I was flipping through the @themessagebible and came across this page. Love this saying and I completely agree! You should always ask God about His will for your life before you make any decision.

Each week I post these pictures of my Bible journaling pages on my Pinterest board. I also have boards for my Inspire Bible and The Message Canvas Bible. I plan on working in them more and posting more pictures to them soon. If you just want to see what inspires me you can check out my Main Pinterest board where I am currently separating inspirational pages by Books of the Bible.

I bought a journaling Bible and supplies, but I’m not ready to start illustrating. I’m practicing my less than stellar skills in my bullet journal first. Maybe by the first of the year. Thanks for sharing these lovely ideas.

  3. Donna Reidland says:

I’ve never done any Bible journaling, but I do enjoy seeing all the creative ways so many ladies bring the Word of God to life with their art. Thanks for sharing!
