My Weekly Bible Journaling #19

I will be completely honest with you – I did these journaling pages earlier.

(paper bag over face)

I knew that this past week it just wasn’t going to happen for me. I had to pack, buy groceries, had to get my older kids and the house situated and ready for me to go to the hospital. And since all I have felt like doing lately was sleeping, well, I just went ahead and worked on a few extra pages over the last few weeks…

So here is what I studied and worked when I could as I am making my way through my Beautiful Word Coloring Bible:

Why is there when I have a water scene I have to watercolor it?  It is sad to read that after Joshua and the elders died that the Israelites forgot about God and what he did for their people. I think this show how important it is to teach our children so that they can one day teach their children about God.

After that whole generation had been gathered to their ancestors, another generation grew up who knew neither the Lord nor what he had done for Israel. – Judges 2:10

I have loved reading the story about Deborah since I was a child! I always thought she was such an inspiration as a Godly woman.

Now Deborah, a prophet, the wife of Lappidoth, was leading Israel at that time. – Judges 4:4

Reading about Gideon. I always found his story interesting… I think he saw himself as a weak and scared man that didn’t have a lot of faith. I think he was humble about who he was. Maybe this is why God allowed him to test him several times.

When the angel of the Lord appeared to Gideon, he said, “The Lord is with you, mighty warrior. – Judges 6:12

    Hi Dani,
Your journaling artwork is beautiful! I am not an artist so I’ve steered clear of this new expression of Scripture but I do admire it.
Hope all goes well with you in the hospital. I’ll say a prayer for you.

Oh, that quote gets me! Imagine how the children today don’t know the Lord or what he has done. It is still so true. Thanks for sharing at Home Sweet Home!
